QBTA is proud to continue our collaboration with Linda Vaillancourt in her presentation of the New Secretarial Program (5857). In the third installment of this series, we will be tackling four competencies including:

• Competency 4: Quality of Written English
• Competency 9: Business Texts in English
• Competency 11: Producing Business Correspondence
• Competency 18: Digital Media

What a fantastic kick-off to the 2017-2018 QBTA workshop season. The great Linda Vaillancourt led vocational teachers from four school boards in understanding and developing some extremely useful resources for the new Secretarial Program (5857).

This will begin the series of the New Secretarial Program workshops, created by Linda Vaillancourt of the West Island Career Centre (WICC), in association with QBTA. We thank Linda for her tireless efforts, passion and unique perspective on resource development as well as her dedication to the field of vocational education. Thank you once again to the lovely Kosta Parthimos for his tireless work and contribution to the SAB teaching community. The Teacher Orientation - Part 2 workshop covered many key areas that are currently being developed by Kosta, including contributions by many other vocational teachers. We hope to see more of the Starting a Business community at our future workshops.

What a great experience to give my first QBTA workshop: How to Build an Educational Website in 30 Minutes.
A big 'thank you' to all the participants and equally important, the QBTA gang for their tireless work!
A big hug to Maria Caldarella, Vice Principal at SHADD Health and Business Center; her support and input was integral and greatly valued. Also, a big thanks to Shawn McDonald for being our honorary photographer and Jack-of-All-Trades. :)

On a personal note, it is so unbelievable to have such a diverse group of teachers get together and collaborate as we did last night. For me, it is why I am in education and QBTA will strive to create more opportunities for us to share and learn from each other. Remember, we need your input!
